General Information About Express Entry

Super Visa

Express Entry is the one of the fastest and most popular online process for skill immigrants to settle (Permanent Residence) in Canada and is a two-step process. The initial stage is to submit your profile into a pool of candidates and IRCC will score candidate’s profile based on point-based system called Comprehensive Ranking System (“CRS”). Points are based on;

  • Skills
  • Education
  • Language ability
  • Work experience
  • Other factors (like relatives in Canada, work permit etc.)

Express entry profile is valid for one year from the date of submission and if you do not receive an Invitation to Apply (“ITA”) within a year, your profile will expire. You can re-enter in the pool if you are still interested in applying for permanent residence in Canada. Remember, submitting an express entry profile does not mean you have applied for permanent residence.

To be eligible to enter the pool, you must be eligible for one of Canada’s economic programs:

Your CRS score must be higher than the IRCC cut-off if you want an invitation from the department.
